System Overview

List of administration tasks that are commonly performed for the nEDM systems:

• Administration of main linux servers (this includes software updates, etc.):
  • Osthalle DB/Server, Admin interface
  • Cluster DB/Server, Admin interface
  • Gateway Machine
    • Update/add devices to network
    • Update DHCP settings
  • UPS, Admin interface
• Administration of network, including network switches
  • 2 unmanaged, 1 managed: switch.1
• Administration of GitHub group repository
  • Pushing of production software to DB interface.
• Monitoring
  • Local DB server, Admin interface
  • Usage on both Osthalle and Cluster DBs.

Note: many of these tasks require administrative/root access to particular machines. Access information to this is available on the wiki where you must be an “Organizer” of the wiki to be able to view/edit that page.
